photography on the Surf Coast Walk
last year a friend and I wanted to spend some time around Lorne checking out the place and getting better with our cameras. Lorne was stunning and because there'd been rain, the waterfalls were charging! We spent some time exploring the place, getting tips from locals and other backpackers about where to go. We were driving along the road and came upon a mother koala with a baby on her back trying to climb up along the side of the road. So we stopped and helped -awesome!
We heard about photography walks -you know the ones -where you walk a bit and learn alot about using your camera better. They took us along this beach near Aireys to take really close up shots of bits of sea weed, shell fragments, gnarly bits of cliff and so on. We got to see the walk through our camera lens.
We spent a three hours, got some great photography tips and even got morning tea thrown in. Later Jack and I had some fun ourselves, pretending we were landscape photographers. When we got home we impressed all of our mates with our slide show! The Surf Coast Walk is pretty wild -I'd recommend it for just walking or for doing some great photography.
